March Reading Challenge – ICA Dragon Competition!
Dear Parents and Students,
We are excited to announce our March Reading Challenge for all K–5 classrooms! Reading is one of the most important skills our students can develop. It strengthens vocabulary, builds comprehension, increases confidence, and helps children grow into strong, independent learners. Most importantly, it creates meaningful time for families to read and grow together. Read 'more' for challenge details.

Our Mission
The mission of Island City Academy (“Academy”) is to improve pupil achievement through a shared vision between talented teachers, parents, and students whose primary goal is academic excellence coupled with moral standards and expectations. We believe we can achieve this goal by providing the best curriculum in six “core” subjects of: mathematics, science, history, geography, language arts, fine arts, along with a moral education accomplished through standards of conduct and curriculum.

About ICA
Island City Academy is located in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. ICA is a Kindergarten - 8th grade, tuition-free, public school open to any student residing in the state of Michigan. ICA currently has 210 students with an average class size of 24.
The academy program is designed to provide the best curriculum in eight core subjects of: mathematics, science, history, geography, language arts, fine arts, and physical education, coupled with moral standards and expectations. ICA is currently in the 81st percentile in Michigan's Top-to-Bottom ranking.
